BASIC OVERVIEW
The Heimdallr Sector is located within the Segmentum Obscurus on the Cygnus Arm, about 10,000 light years away from the Eye of Terror. It is an ancient Sector with some of its early planets colonized during the Dark Age of Technology. Ever since the Great Crusade, five Sub-Sectors have been created around some of the more prominent world-groups. The capital and naval base of the sector is on Heimdallr, a hive world within the Heimdallr Sub-Sector. The gateway to this Sector, it is resource-rich and hosts some of the most powerful mining and forgeworlds in this area of Imperial space. To the north is located the Bifrost Sub-Sector, a relatively quiet aglomerations of older organic-rich paradise and garden worlds. Bifrost was the original capital of the Sector, but it has since been eclipsed by Heimdallr's economic power. However, it is still the residence of some of the most ancient and influencial Imperial Noble Houses in the Sector. To the south lie three of the more minor Sub-Sectors: Thularig, a primitive Sub-Sector with a high percentage of feudal and feral worlds; Hel, mostly composed of older red-dwarfs harbouring some most exotic Imperial cultures; and Iskane, located at the outer-edge of the Sector, and bordering several Ork Empires.
